u write some beautiful songs dude.. this is awesome.

The guitar melody sounds great, very chaos surfery..

i love the lyrics too especially -

'You're a distant sun, no rays will reach
this lonely man, no one.
You're just another star above.' Thumbs Up Nodding

Vocals sound good, got some nice harmonies in there.. Thumbs Up

To be brutally honest though, i was a little bit disappointed when that beat came in. Its a nice beat and well put together, but i think it features in too many of your songs. I'm not sure that this beat compliments the song that well anyway.. Thinking .. I think a straight forward driving beat would work well..

Other than that this is great. well done surfer of chaosness :)) (Very Happy)

I simply love it...

This is my favourite Chaos song so far, I love the harmony & falsetto note in the early part, it hit me in the guts straight off, the lyrics are particularly stark and meaningful, I love malancholy & you do it so well. The tempo change just adds to the intensity and the ending is bang on, well done Chaos we're proud of you, we're both listening here today because Paul is off work, woo hoo! Thumbs Up

Wow Wow! This is the best I have heard from you! :-o (Eeek!) High Five! The guitar is light enough to be extremely emotional Nodding Very meolodic and beautiful Nodding Cloud 9 Then it gets louder and harder :-D (Big Grin) Great transition Nodding This song has a great layout. I love the harmonized vocals as well Nodding This song is extremely well arranged... Your singing is beautiful 8-) (Cool) Great job! Groovin Downloaded!

I'd like it better if the production brought every single instrument and sound far from up front! It's all a bit to light to me. A fragile song doesn't neccesarily need to be this light?

It's got a powerful thing going on in the chorus, but focus a bit more on vocals: 'articulate and open your mouth further' would be my advice :) (Smile)

Nice touch with the rain and thunder...all through out a cool song!

Look how many people used "wow" as the first word in their comment :)) (Very Happy) Nodding
I agree with that sentiment.
The beginning with the storm effects fading to you and the drum entrance was inspired Clapping
Absolutely beautiful piece of song-writing Nodding
As for the criticism the lady above has given regarding your singing, take it on board if you feel its a valid point but I think your style is your style and it makes your songs your own. Not everyone sings in the same way, and I for one like the way you do. It adds an edge to the songs Nodding
Thanks for dropping me a shout about this :)) (Very Happy) Glad I checked it out Thumbs Up

Wow, this is a great song, one of your best. Clapping
You use that technique of moving the bass line around a static chord really well, and that's probably why it has that U2 (Joshua Tree era) sound.
The vocals weave in and out of each other effortlessly and the harmonies are great.
Singing
The chorus section took me by surpise with the aggressive drums, but by the second time, it felt like a natural part of the song.
This is a very heartfelt lyric and I love the ending as the music fades and the vocals remain with the thunder and rain.
Great song.

I gotta say...the verse is very like "With Or Without You" by U2.
A very good song... I dig your lyrics a lot. Nice work on the hi hats. has a upbeat vibe about it this.

Great intro...very smooth. I hate making comparisons, but I do so only as a compliment and to convey how the song comes over to me...so yes, elements of U2. But I have to say...I much prefer your voice to Bono's! I love the way the verses build up a little tension which explodes into the chorus...a nice way to balance things...great stuff! The return to the rain at the end rounds things off beautifully! Thumbs Up Clapping

Wow, Chaos! Thanks a lot for telling me about this!NoddingCloud 9

I absolutely loved the verses..started off real nice.. and I agree with stratmanstl when saying that the drum bit took me by surprise, then actually sounded very natural the second time around!Clapping

It's interesting how Marc said he especially liked these lyrics -
'You're a distant sun, no rays will reach
this lonely man, no one.
You're just another star above.'
- because when I finished listening, that was the first thing I planned on saying.. :)) (Very Happy)Thumbs Up

Very nice songwriting, harmonies, vocals..
I just wish I could hear your voice a little louder in the chorus - I love your singing.:) (Smile)

Feel free to let me know when your next songs are up. I will gladly listen and comment! Hug

I can definately see the U2 comparisons. I thought the hi-hat and bass drum hits at the start worked really well with the guitar and vocals. Your voice in this is really reminding me of someone, I just can't put my finger on who.
I love the built up part going back down to the calm. Always the perfect addition to a track in my mind, you can't go wrong with it.
Great track. I'll be listening to that a few more times I'm sure.

Can't help mentioning the U2 With Or Without You similiarities with some of the verse but the rest of the song is different with a lot of extra twists. No bad thing to sound like U2 during their best period anyway.
No problems with the drums here, really effective and tight. You always try to use drums quite dynamically which really pays off here. Great intensity achieved with a small guitar combo arrangement. Vocals really well arranged too. Outstanding track. Clapping

There's a really superb edge to your voice in this one.. Sort of slight roughness that really works well..
I like the harmonies..
Woh.. I love the way the rhythm picks up with the drums and then drops back again..
The song has a superb feel of energy and passion...
The layering of the vocals at the end is clever..
Yeah.. I really like this. I think it's one of your best.. :)) (Very Happy)

From RealMouse:
Blocked out the sun's sounding pretty good. I like the guitar part playing through out the song. Kinda U2ish with a bit of springsteen in the vox and gat. Nice matey. I like the drum intro into the mid then back to the vocals as a quiet verse then back into it again. All in all I enjoyed this piece. Nice original and new, catchy and kind of top of the popish material. Well written also.
Thanks for the listen. It's all good.

Yeah... I'm likin' this one alot. Kinda sneaks up on you and then blows you away with the chorus. Great vocals; love the harmonies and the falsetto stuff. I also hear the U2 influence here but this has more of an edge to it. Very nicely done!

I can see where people are getting the U2 vibe from, I can certainly hear it with the percussion and the bassline at the beginning. I do like the way the song picks up and the increased energy comes in just at the right time (and again settles down quite nicely), but there’s a little too much going on rhythmically at the built-up choruses, to my ears there’s a bit of confusion with what’s going on with the drums and the percussive sounds of the guitars – that’s just a personal thing though.

Loved the start to this one and the way the music comes in. Like others have said reminds of U2's with or without you but definately stands on its own merit as well.

Fantastic vocal melodies another fine tune
