You really have outdone yourself here man.
Your voice has a cool Jon Bon Jovi sound in this one. The strings are an excellent addition to the ChaosSurfer sound, literally another string to your bow
I'm really digging this

The intro to this song is absolutely fantastic. Beautiful strings and I love that muted trumpet sound.
It reminds me of back in the day when we would record experimental keyboard tunes, except that this is tasteful and enhances the mood of the song!
A great lyric and a bit of a different angle for you following a character throughout the song. A very strong vocal performance. The harmonies work well and the whole song has an epic emotional feel.
This might be my favourite song of yours so far. Excellent.
Like the Blackbird reprise at the end.

I really dig this dude, the muted horn at the intro is warm and sets us up for the rest of the song, This piece would sound great at the end of the Sopranos. Most excellent indeed

First off...this is a really good song. The lyrical content, the arrangements are excellent. I must admit - the midi pads are a bit overpowering. I would maybe tone them down a little. Your vocals are nice - carry a lot of emotion. Not sure if the reverb ending works...but I like the idea behind it.
I think this could become a great song with some more time spent expanding it.
Good work.

great piece indeed, I love the way you come in (both times 1st the trumpet, 2nd the bass after the break) I do think that the music is too loud compared with your vocals, as I read along the lyrics, they deserve to be noticed.
overall it is a wonderfull and touchy song. Thanks for inviting me to listen

This is AMAZING! The orchestra really gives the song the perfect tone. Your vocals have tons of emotion too, makes the song become real in my mind.
I love these lyrics and how everything unfolds through the music. Excellent job bud!

The comes across to me as a Moody Blues/U2/Brian Adams crossover in terms of style...I hope this goes some way to explaining how highly I rate this song.
An amazingly moving, emotional and expressive song achieved by the musical arrangement and the style of vocals. Beautiful intro...grabs at the soul. The piano, strings and guitar combination is a winning formula here...this could be a major hit or a movie song. If I were you I'd pitch it to agents, record companies and publishers for artists such as Brian Adams...this song has something very special - you owe it to yourself to promote it well Fantastic job!

Dude, very very awesome. I love the emotion it invokes, and the "Philharmonic" complements your voice beautifully. Pardon me while I download this (I've listened to it about five or six times in a row now). Very sweet, brother.

What a beautiful arrangment! Great work with the strings and memorable melodies. Vocals are sweet! I would have liked to have heard them up front a little more or a tad drier (great lyrics) but the emotion of your delivery still came thru quite nicely.

Was quite surprised by the intricacy of the orchestration, always thought of you as a guitar beat combo man, how wrong I am . Sounds like a lot of work went into this. Rythm guitar sounds a bit low in the mix in comparison to strings but could be just the system Im listening on. Beautiful music, great song. Very imaginative ending too.

Again Im stunned! This just showcase's your vareity. Maybe the second verse could use some harmonizing voices but the chorus more than makes up for it. How exactly was the string arrangment done? Because it is stunning. Amazing song.

From SnotJello:
I like "Annie's Alive" a lot. Love the muted trumpet thing...very cool. Nice piece. Unusual (in a good way) mix of alt-rock vocal, orchestration and an almost smooth jazz arrangement. Groovy

Great tune!
The London Philharmonic Orchestra are brilliant, and add a lot to the track.
How'd you get them to record that for you?

I'm really surprised I wasn't expecting this, WILD!!
The orchestration is beautiful, rock/classical piece & very mournful feel, thoughtful, the is
Dreamy story that works curiously well with your bang up to date vocal style and sound, a depth to this track that spills over into cinematic territory. Vocal layering at the end is ace
Keep up the great work, always interesting work going on here

I like the lower string sounds, you used them very sparingly, and it worked just right.
SO mzny friggin melodies, from all those expert violinists, and it all keeps this homogeneous melodic inspiration, wonderful.
the singing gets a bit constipated at times, but when you really rip out the tone you have the most beautiful voice, a really emotional thing it is.

This is a surprise....
Great intro and sounds..
This is an incredible change from your usaul music..
It really works so well.
You've put a lot more ambience on your vocals and they sound great.
That harmony part is spot on.
The acoustics comes through just perfect as well.
You must have put a lot of time into this and it's really paid off.
Orchestration is excellent..
Interesting altered bit just at the end with the reverb..
Yeah.. great stuff and a really interesting piece..

holy crap
i love this song!
i've gotten so sappy lately but this song and ur lyrics just go ..perfect together
i like the notes u chose for vocals and the layering and stuff, but more usually i don't think ur singing is as good as ur actual composition is.
i think with the right voice, this song would be so awesome, i would sing along to this.

love the intro
lovely layering man... instrumentalisation is just PROFESSIONAL
your voice suits the mood of the song
except I'd say turn up the vocals juuuust a bit
the cellos and all at 3:22 remind me of age of empires, lol... (note: i love AOE)
the blackbird clip, its like.... i know what you're trying to do there, but i think it sounds kinda out of place, TO ME
anyway yea... am d/ling this fo shoa!

Mmmm, sweet intro, so dreamy with the violins...
Wow, damn, you've got a whole orchestra going on!! Lovely trumpet (always nice solo's to get outa these) This is one very fine composition! You managed it very well and all the instrument's parts flow one into the other, just beautiful! And the guitar really fits it as well, which is sometimes hard to combine with a complete orchestra! (well, when it's played live...)
Great job

incredible song... the intro is genius, but i think the orchestra breaks the mix at a couple points. the vocals kind of struggle too but don't let that get you down cos it still sounds good.
